Got chicken and shrimp combo with just onion and salmon cream cheese deep fried all of it was really good, best quick Japanese place I've had in Wilmington. Don't gotta pay for sauce which is a huge plus

We just moved to Wilmington and were searching for our new sushi place when we came across Yaki Express. The service was lovely, the sushi was very fresh, the display was beautiful, the environment relaxing, and the prices very reasonable compared to other sushi places in the area, especially for sashimi which is my personal favorite. This will definitely be our go to sushi place!

Stopped in for take-out on the way out of town. (Was in Wilmington for business). Ordered and paid on their website that was linked, after finding them on Google maps. Ordered the shrimp tempura roll, Philly, spicy tuna and spicy salmon. The staff was very friendly and asked what additional sauces I might want and how many chopsticks. This place is casual, fast, friendly, and tasty! We enjoyed it and glad we found it! This restaurant shares a building with a coffee shop, and there was plenty of parking during standard lunchtime range…

This is an order at the counter and pick up your food. No table service at all. The restaurant was clean with planters along the windows. The first time I ate here, I ordered one of the specialty rolls (can't recall the name). It had tuna, avocado, salmon, and a white fish; with crab salad inside; eight pieces total. I though it was excellent (the fish was very fresh), although on the pricey side. On my second visit, I was very disappointed. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and tuna roll. The tuna was not prepared properly, as there still sinew, which should have been removed. This made tough to eat. The shrimp tempura: It was the slimmest shrimp tempura I've ever seen! The roll was mostly rice and crab salad. It was messy to eat, as it fell apart when picking them up with my chopsticks. The first visit was great, but not the second time.

Wonderful food and beautifully decorated venue. My husband and I have been here at least 3 times already and plan to do so more often. The chef and his family are friendly and prove they care about everything they do. The quality of the food is apparent in how they present even the take-away dishes (we have yet to dine-in). We have gotten the Hibachi Chicken, Teriyaki, and Shrimp and Filet Entrees/Bowls, Kamakaze Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Shrimp Tempura (side) and Eggrolls. We have enjoyed the house-made Sakura and Ginger Sauces with all of those dishes. Highly recommend this place and I hope you enjoy like we have!
